No Stone Left Alone - NCR Girl Guides Ceremony 2026

When:
Where:

Each year, the Girl Guides of Canada play a meaningful role in remembrance through the No Stone Left Alone Ceremony, honouring those who served and sacrificed for our country. Together with their leaders, the Guides will place poppies on the headstones of every soldier in the Veterans Section of the National Military Cemetery of Canada, ensuring that no one is forgotten.

  • Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026
  • Time: 2:00 p.m.
  • Location: Veterans Section (Section 27, near the tank), National Military Cemetery of Canada, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa

The formal ceremony will last approximately 20 minutes. Participants are asked to dress for the weather and to follow all Girl Guides of Canada public health protocols in place at that time.

During both World Wars, Girl Guides were active contributors to Canada’s wartime efforts, knitting socks and scarves for soldiers overseas, rolling bandages, writing letters, and collecting supplies to support families on the home front. Their legacy of service continues today through acts of remembrance like this one, connecting generations in gratitude and respect.

The No Stone Left Alone Memorial Foundation is dedicated to honouring and remembering Canada’s veterans. This ceremony offers young Canadians a powerful, hands-on experience that fosters understanding, appreciation, and remembrance of those who have served and the sacrifices made for freedom.
