It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Vera June Beveridge (nee MacLean) at  Riverpath Retirement Community with her family (granddaughters) by her side at the age of 90.

June is the daughter of the late Angus MacLean and Sadie (nee McDuff) MacLean.  June leaves in sorrow her son David Beveridge (Stephanie Clark), her sister Thelma McIntosh, and her grandchildren Stephanie, Lindsay, and Adam Beveridge. She is also survived by her nephew and niece Andrew McIntosh (Michele Thibault) and Judy Gamey (Robert), as well many great nephews and nieces, family and friends.  June was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Lynn (Bev) Beveridge and brother in law Blake McIntosh.  June had incredible strength and perseverance throughout her life. She was blessed with the love of wonderful family and friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to Riverpath Retirement Community, especially the staff on the 3rd floor for their appreciative care of June over the past 2.5 years.

A celebration of life will be held at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery, and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa on Friday March 8, 2024 at 1 p.m., with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers a donation in memory of June can be made to the Breast Cancer Canada or Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.

David and family, please accept my deepest and most sincere condolences on the passing of June. June and Bev, Blake and Thelma visited our home on numerous occasions over the years, first in Summerside, then in Charlottetown, PEI with a strong connection to Eileen (nee Campbell MacLean) and Roy Lidstone, as well as me (Liz), my sister, Barb, and our now deceased brother, Barry, when he was younger. I remember June's beautiful bright smile, warmth, kindness and strong connection to family. June will be missed, as well as fondly remembered. May she rest in Peace! ❤

We were blessed to have June as our next door neighbour. Her spunk and spirit were inspiring. Thank you to David and family for her clock, which reminds us of her each day. Our deepest condolences to the entire family.
