POSTPONED - Annual Butterfly Release and Walk to Remember

When:
Where:
Beechwood National Memorial Centre

A special spring community memorial and fundraising event to honour and remember our loved ones. The event is open to the public. Registration is required to purchase a butterfly to release in memory of your loved one.

The event begins with a remembrance ceremony in the Sacred Space inside the Beechwood National Memorial Center. It features live harp, piano and flute music, an inspirational reading and speaking the names of our loved ones. The event includes your loved one’s name on a big screen.

From the ceremony, we move outside to the hill overlooking the garden and pond, to share a symbolic release of live butterflies. Butterflies are a symbol of hope and transformation.

Lastly, a remembrance walk gives individuals an opportunity to reflect and share memories as they enjoy the beautiful gardens and peaceful grounds of the Beechwood National Cemetery. At your own pace, complete a full or partial figure 8 walk.

Light refreshments follow.

This is an Annual Community Memorial Event & Fundraiser.

We hope you will join us and bring your family and friends to support both yourself and BFO at this beautiful event.
