Jacob Gerow
Cemetery Counsellor
Born and raised in Montreal, Jacob graduated from McGill in 2016 with a degree in East Asian Studies. After living abroad in Austria and then China for many years, Jacob chose to return to Canada and settle in Ottawa, where he joined Beechwood in 2019. Jacob started off designing monuments, and soon became a representative thanks to his ability to build deep personal connections with families and his broad language skills. Jacob is fluent in English, French, German, and Mandarin, and is currently learning Russian. As he says, “The best part of Beechwood is building connections and hearing the diverse and amazing life stories from people who walk through our doors. The past is a foreign country, where things were done differently. Thank you for letting me travel with you!”
Outside of Beechwood, Jacob enjoys public speaking, volunteering, reading, and going on adventures with his family.
