Suzanne Mahlig passed suddenly at the age of 58. She is survived by her children Yves (Michelle) and Melissa, grandchildren Christine and Isabelle, sister Carole (Marc) and nephews Guy and Eric. Suzanne is predeceased by her son Roch and parents Simone (nee Roy) and Richard Mahlig.
Suzanne was a wild card, always unfiltered and could talk your ear off. She loved reading, colouring, arts and crafts, and going to movies. Suzanne loved her kids and grandkids and did her best to provide for them. Even when times were tough, she could make something out of nothing (her breakfast potatoes remain legendary to this day). We will miss you Gam Gam.
Friends and family are invited to the Celebration of Life on Friday, January 16th, 2026 at 2pm, at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa, K1L 8A6).

She will be missed and remembered as a kind, sweet beautiful women that loved her family, friends and animals. Our families grew up in the same neighbourhood I’d often see her walking the dog or with her children going out. My son and hers were best of friends and she would have an open door for my son if he ever needed. I thank her so much for that. Rest in peace Sue and give Rocky a hug from us too. Xo
