Passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the age of 83.
Beloved wife of late Youssef Elias Yaacoub. Loving mother of Olga (John Abou Melhab), Laudi(Joseph Ghostine), Elias (Rima Farhat), Hiam (Elie Abou Farah-Lebanon), Tony (Takla Farhat), Amal (Hikmat Ghostine) and Georges (Rita Kadri).
Caring sister of Renee (Tanios Yaacoub); predeceased by Shafica (late Youssef Farhat), Souad (Sleiman Abou Rjeily), Elias (late Marie Daw) and Georges (Saiida Yaacoub).
She will be dearly missed by her 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as Teta Yvonne, as well as by her nieces, nephews, friends and family members, in Canada, Lebanon and around the world.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Beechwood Funeral and Cemetery Services, 280 Beechwood Ave., in Ottawa.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 11:00 am at Saint Charbel Parish Maronite Catholic Church, 245 Donald Street. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery.
For those wishing, in lieu of flowers, donations in Yvonne’s memory to Saint Charbel Church, would be appreciated.
