It is with great sadness that the family of Christy Kathleen Mongeon (née Sill), announce her passing on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the age of 88.
Christy is lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years, RCAF Sgt (Retired) Albert Mongeon. Loving mother to Claire (Rick), Marcel, Richard (Karen) and Kathleen (Sean). Proud grandmother to Justin, Samantha (Matt) and great grandmother to Kyara, Brayden (Skye), Vesta; step-great-grandmother to Elisha; and great-great-grandmother to Jahziah and Elmira. Dear sister to Reg (Mary) and Grant (Tammi). She will also be remembered by many extended family members and dear friends.
Known for her warm smile and generous heart, Christy was loved by all.
Christy was predeceased by her granddaughter Nadia; her parents, Robert Sill and Margaret (née Kent); and siblings, Marion, Kent and Richard.
The family would like to thank the nurses and PSWs of Access Health Care and case workers at Ontario Health at Home for the excellent care they provided.
A private family interment at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
