Our beloved wife, daughter, sister and friend Kathy Wright passed away unexpectedly and far too early on March 8, 2026, at the age of 66.
Kathy was predeceased by her mother, Joanne Davidson, and her beloved grandparents Harold and Margaret Johnson and her in-laws Robert and Edith Wright.
Kathy will be forever missed and cherished by her devoted husband of 41 years, Allen (Al) Wright. She also leaves behind her loving father, Rick Davidson; her sister, Jennifer Davidson; her brothers-in-law, Colin Wright and David Wright; and her dear sisters and brothers of the Eastern Star and Masons in Ottawa, who were an important part of her extended family.
Born in Germany in 1959, and raised in Ottawa, Kathy graduated from Confederation High School and later attended Conestoga College in Kitchener. She met the love of her life, Al, while working at a restaurant in Ottawa—it was love at first sight. Together they built a wonderful life surrounded by good friends and long-time amazing neighbours.
Kathy had a warm and friendly spirit and was known for her kindness and generosity. A dedicated volunteer, she gave freely of her time and energy to help others. She will be fondly remembered for sending thoughtful cards, her sweet laugh, her love of family, and the quiet strength and resilience she showed throughout her life living with the challenges of epilepsy.
Kathy and Al shared many happy adventures together, including travels to Portugal, Australia, the U.K. and numerous sunny destinations. Wherever she went, Kathy brought warmth, friendship, and a genuine care for others.
Kathy will be sorely missed by all that loved her.

I remember that restaurant and Kathy and Al, all the way back to High School. Kathy was always a joy to be around and a fun person to know. She will be missed.
