Chase Mark Jordan Miller, born June 3, 1985, and known to his family as Mark, passed away on March 25, 2026, at the age of 40.

Chase was predeceased by both of his parents. He leaves behind his brothers, aunts, uncle and extended family, who loved him dearly.

Chase was a joyful and happy child whose laughter and giggles could light up any room. In his younger years, some of his happiest moments were spent alongside his brother Cory, creating memories filled with love, fun, and mischief. He was truly the apple of his mother Joanne Miller’s, grandmother Judy Tamarit’s, and great-grandmother Emma Hanes’s eyes.

After graduating from high school, Chase joined the Canadian Armed Forces. He served as a Corporal and built a successful career as a military photographer before eventually leaving for medical reasons. His service gave him the opportunity to travel widely and further develop his passion for photography. Through his assignments and travels, he found purpose and beauty in capturing the world through his lens. At one point, he travelled internationally with the Minister of National Defence to document those journeys.

Though never married, Chase found love at different times in his life. He was loved and will be dearly missed by Shannon Heart and by Natalie Brugger, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Chase will be remembered as a beautiful, kind, and gentle soul—someone with a quiet spirit, a caring heart, and so much untapped potential. Those who loved him will hold those memories close.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for later this summer.

In honour of Chase, donations may be made to Serenity Renewal for Families.
