C'est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Robert (Rob/Bobby) Cléroux, survenu le 6 mars 2026, à l'âge de 49 ans. Rob manquera beaucoup à sa femme depuis 22 ans, Natalie, et à ses filles chéries, Karina et Mia. Prédécédé par son père Robert et sa mère Nicole (née D'Amour), il reposera en leur compagnie.
Rob était un policier dévoué et fier qui a servi avec honneur au sein du Service de police d'Ottawa (SPO). Il avait un engagement indéfectible envers le maintien de l'ordre et était respecté par ses collègues et les membres de la communauté.
Rob était extrêmement fier de ses filles. Il était connu pour son sourire infaillible et sa volonté d'aider tout le monde, il n'hésitait jamais à intervenir pour aider ceux qui en avaient besoin. Il restera dans la mémoire de sa famille élargie, de ses amis et de nombreux membres de la communauté, notamment sa famille du SPO et autres premiers intervenants.
La famille et les amis sont invités à rendre hommage et à se rendre au Centre commémoratif national Beechwood, situé au 280, avenue Beechwood, à Ottawa, aux dates suivantes :
- Vendredi 20 mars, de 14 h à 16 h ;
- le samedi 21 mars, de 14 h à 16 h ;
- le dimanche 22 mars, après 9 h, jusqu'à l'heure des funérailles.
Les funérailles auront lieu en l'Espace sacré le dimanche 22 mars à 11 h.
Au lieu de fleurs, la famille désire que des dons soient faits à la Fondation des premiers intervenants d'Ottawa.

To some you were Bobby, to others Rob, but to me you'll always be Bob. The news of your passing hit me hard buddy. It's hard to believe you're gone. We didn't see each other as often anymore but I was comforted to know that you were there. I'm grateful we got to spend some time together in recent years. I will miss you man. Our friendship spawned during our high school years - boy did we have fun! So many memories. Tonight I found a photo of us and some of our boys during grad night back in '94, we were all arm in arm...well brother, my arm will always be around you.

Bobby and I worked together back in the day at St. Laurent recreation complex when it opened in the late 90s. We kept in touch when I worked as a paramedic, and then again working at the Respite Center on McArthur during the pandemic. There I got to see him frequently during COVID…he knew all the local characters. I loved the way he could connect with the myriad citizens of Vanier. Rob came to my rescue a couple of times in those days, when sh*t hit the fan. And occasionally Bob would drop by the Centre to check in...it always gave me a great sense of reassurance that he was in the area and had our backs. You left a mark in my heart, Bobby, and others.
