With shattered hearts, we share the passing of our precious boy, Jaxson David Mansfield-O’Brey, who left this world far too soon on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the age of five. Born on July 3, 2020, Jaxson brought joy, laughter, and light to everyone who knew him. He had a beautiful way of reminding us all of how magical the simplest moments could be.
Jaxson will be forever loved and deeply missed by his parents, Ashleigh Mansfield and David O’Brey; his big sisters, Ivy and Ava; his maternal grandparents, Jillian Mansfield (late Richard Salmon), and great-grandparents, Micheal Donoghue (late Teresa); his paternal grandparents, Ginette Leduc and David O’Brey Sr. and great-grandparents, Michel and Barbara Leduc. He will also be remembered with abundant love by his many aunts and great-aunts, including Jessica, Nicole and Brii as well as his uncles, countless cousins and friends.
Those blessed to be a part of his short but remarkable life will always carry his spirit in every laugh, every story, and every hug shared in his memory.
Family and friends are invited to Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 for a visitation from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service in Beechwood’s Sacred Space at 2 p.m.
Though his time with us was brief, Jaxson’s love will remain in our hearts forever.
Matthew 5:14-16
14 You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Jaxson, you are one of my most precious friends. You filled my heart with a trusted ally and confident. You will always be my best friend and my heart aches that we don’t have another chance to play or trampoline together. Until we meet again my friend! You are truly loved!
