It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Michel Caron, which occurred in Ottawa on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the age of 88.
Michel leaves in mourning his wife Claire Hélie-Caron, their children Françoise (Luc Paquette), Alain (Chantal Jolicoeur), Anne-Marie (François St-Jean), and Gabrielle (Stéphan Mailhiot); their grandchildren Marie, Simon and Jeanne, Maxime and Charles, Claudel and Roxane, Justine; their great-granddaughter Romie; his sister Hélène and many nephews and nieces.
Michel was a man of integrity, righteous, and compassionate for whom the well-being of his family mattered more than anything. He has had a brilliant career in the public service, both in the federal and Quebec government.
The family will receive condolences from 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. A religious service and a moment of sharing will follow. The burial will take place at a later date at the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery in Montreal.
