With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Evelyn Mary Adeline LeBlanc, on October 12, 2025, at the age of 94, in Ottawa, Ontario.
Evelyn was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Born on July 24, 1931, she was the second youngest of 10 siblings, all of whom predeceased her. She spent her life devoted to her family.
As a proud military spouse and homemaker, Evelyn created a warm, welcoming home wherever life took her. Later, she built a meaningful career supporting the Canadian Armed Forces through Non-Public Funds (NPF), and worked as a dedicated bookkeeper at the Sergeants’ Mess at Rockcliffe Air Base in Ottawa.
She will be lovingly remembered by her six children: Brent (Lynne), John, Jane, Janet (Don), Brian, and Gary (Connie); her 14 grandchildren; and her 8 great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply.
Evelyn had a passion for music, dancing, cooking, baking, and MacGyvering. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. Her strength, compassion, and humor made her a steady presence in the lives of many.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services on Friday, June 5th, 2026 at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made to:
• Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County
We invite family and friends to share their memories, messages of condolence, and photos on this memorial page.
She will be missed beyond words and remembered with enduring love.

My aunt Eve was a beautiful caring friend. Always here to listen. We spent a lot of time together. She came to our family gathering bringing extra sweetness, her baking. I will love her and miss her forever.

Our sincere condolences. It is always too early to lose a loving mother. So glad you were able to have her for 94 years, and that she loved and cherished all her children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren.
Always enjoyed going to Evelyn when we would visit Ottawa.
The last time we saw her in her apartment she told us that she had gone to bed so late the night before because the country music on the tv was far too good to stop dancing.
She showed us how she would dance next to the sofa.
After that whenever I’m home alone I’ll put on some music and I’ll dance by myself.
It cheers me us and good exercise all at the same time.
Thanks Evelyn for sharing that with me.
May the good memories give you all the warmth and peace in your hearts. And let’s have a little dance in Evelyn’s memory.

I’m so happy I got to see Evelyn a few weeks ago. She was my second mom growing up. She was tough as nails and so good to me and she was a woman who did it all, long before that was a movement. I loved making her laugh. She was the embodiment of an independent woman well into her later years. I always admired her. She left an amazing legacy with her kids and grandkids and she will be missed. RIP Mom❤️

I grew up with the Leblanc’s on Rockcliffe Air base. I visited their home frequently. Mrs Leblanc was always singing or listening to Tom Jones. A beautiful homemaker and a great love for her family. My deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mom. She will be missed.

My aunty Evelyn was an "A one" aunt she so loved having us around & making all those wonderful meals when we'd visit with the LeBlanc along with her fabulous desserts to boot, never missing her wonderful pastries that she made those scrumptious apple pies 👍👍Her & uncle Bob had a lot to do with my wedding in June 9/1973 as they helped to get us our wedding venue & dance place at the mess with a delicious meal, music & dance. Oh how we were all so young & so happy. Jane was our babysitter to our son Grant on that day. He was 7months old. Then the next day we all went over to aunty Evelyn & uncle Bob's for a beautiful brunch 👍👍 Never will I ever forget about all of this happening, they were good to all of us. She even trusted me to be Brian's godmother, I was so young in those days to be asked something like that !!!! 😂🤣 I think I was about 18 or so??? Carmen & I had great visits with her in her last residence where she would laugh if we talked about something funny 🤣🤣😂😂👍👍 I'm so glad to have had her in our lives, what a peachy lady she was 👍👍❤️❤️🙋🏻♀️💔💔 R.I.P. dear aunty Evelyn, now we have another angel to watch over us.
My heartfelt condolences to all of the family and will keep you in my prayers. 🙏❤️
