It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul J. Gauvin on February 26, 2026, at Montfort Hospital in Vanier, Ontario, at the age of 89.
Predeceased by his wife of many years, Annette Gauvin, Paul leaves behind his beloved children, Monique (Russell) and Mark of Ottawa; his companion, Monique; his cherished Benji; and his brother, Al Gauvin of Rockland, Ontario.
Paul had a distinguished career in the Public Service of Canada and with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
A Fellow of CPA Ontario, Paul was named a Lifetime Member in 2015 in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the profession over more than 40 years.
In retirement, Paul traveled extensively throughout Canada, particularly in the beautiful Atlantic region — his birthplace and a place he dearly loved. We would like to thank the attending Montfort staff for their exceptional support.
The family will hold a private ceremony at a later date at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa.
