Natasha Habokoma Chilala, 27, of Ottawa, Canada, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Born on February 25, 1999, in Kitwe, Zambia, to Karen Masaiti and Roy Chilala, Natasha was a cherished granddaughter, beloved daughter, devoted sister, adored niece, and treasured friend whose kind heart and radiant presence touched everyone she encountered.

She attended high school at Chengelo School in Mkushi, Zambia, where she proudly represented the school's netball team from 2015 to 2016. After earning her high school diploma in November 2016, Natasha pursued higher education at Algonquin College of Applied Arts & Technology in Ottawa, where she obtained her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and Management in 2022.

With a smile that lit up any room and an extraordinary capacity to make everyone feel welcomed and valued, Natasha had room in her heart for every person she met. She never shied away from hard work, approaching challenges with quiet determination, grace, and strength that inspired those around her. Her family and friends loved her deeply for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and infectious laughter.

She will be remembered for her passion for K-dramas and the music of Drake, which she adored; for her enjoyment of TikTok videos, photography, and American football; for her appreciation of jazz; for her fondness for Boston and beautiful sunsets; and above all, for her boundless faith in God.

Natasha was deeply loved by her grandparents, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and wide circle of friends who considered her family in every way. Her gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and the joy she brought into every relationship will forever remain in their hearts.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 12 10AM at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery, and Cremation Services located at 280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa, ON K1L 8A6. Those unable to assist in person may participate virtually .

Though we grieve her sudden absence, the love Natasha gave so freely continues to shine brightly. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the same warmth, light, and faith she so generously shared with the world.

Natasha Habokoma Chilala will be forever remembered as a loving granddaughter, daughter, sister, niece, and friend whose extraordinary kindness defined her beautiful life.
