Beverly Denaise Brown passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, warmth, and quiet grace. Beverly was the kind of woman who made people feel welcome the moment they stepped into her presence. She led with kindness, spoke from the heart, and carried her family through many of life's storms with steady hands and a spirit that never wavered.
Beverly was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt who all carry a piece of her in the stories they tell, the values she shared, and the love she poured into every relationship. Family meant everything to her. She showed up for birthdays, holidays, quick phone calls, and long conversations that stretched late into the night. She gave without expecting anything in return, and people naturally gravitated toward her steady presence.
Beverly will also be deeply missed by her coworkers and union members, who knew her as a dependable voice of support and a calm problem solver. She took pride in being there for others, whether it was helping a colleague or stepping up when her community needed her. Beyond her work, Beverly loved to volunteer. She gave her time freely, always looking for ways to lift others up and make a positive impact.
She had a soft laugh that made people smile and a straight-talking honesty that kept everyone grounded. She appreciated simple moments, celebrated the small wins, and reminded others to slow down and breathe. Her wisdom was lived, not performed, and those around her felt it.
The visitation will take place at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, located at 280 Beechwood Avenue in Ottawa, on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will follow in Beechwood’s Sacred Space from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. A Reception will be held afterward from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Friends, loved ones, colleagues, and community members are invited to come together to honor Beverly and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.

I am still shocked that you are no longer with us, but like they say only the good die young. A true Lioness that lived life to the fullest, I will miss you my friend. I always feel like I should of gotten to know friends in the community more when they pass on. I can say I knew you well but could of gotten to know you better. RIP. Can't wait to do another Soca or Blues concert with you in our next life, make sure you have tickets ready. Cheers to you Bev Brown. 🙏🏾

May you rest in peace and watch us from above in 2026's Run for Women. CCC Gals & Pals will miss you too and we'll be there rain or shine just like you were there for us.

I extend sincere condolences to Beverly’s family, friends, loved ones, colleagues and all those she touched with her warmth. Heartfelt thanks to those who so lovingly captured her essence in the beautiful obituary. For several years, Bev and I worked for separate federal departments that shared a mandate and were in the same building. We often interacted professionally on files and socially in spaces such as the lobby and food court. The latter ended when my department relocated. I missed her then and am deeply saddened now that she, a generation behind me, has gone too soon. Bev, to you, a dynamo Trini to the bone, I offer you a Jamaican farewell. Walk good, my friend, walk good.

My deepest condolences on the loss of such a beautiful soul, someone who was as kind and radiant inside as she was in life. Her unwavering fight for access and her impact on the disability community will never be forgotten. Her torch will stay lit forever within each of us that will continue to enshrine Bev's contributions and meaningful engagements in creating equity for every human being! Wishing you comfort, strength, and peace during this difficult time. KK
