It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Juddy Meunier, surrounded by family on Sunday July 6, 2025, at the age of 79.

Petite and stunning Juddy was born in Maniwaki, Quebec, who was swept to the alter by Cleo Meunier, a handsome young man who lived down Route 105 in Messines, Quebec. Shortly after saying their wedding vows, the young courageous couple quickly embarked on a journey to southwestern Ontario (Sarnia) to pursue a career and raise their precious daughter - Gail Malette (Steven).

To those who knew Juddy, she was larger than life. Juddy was Ms. Social at parties and brought light and laughter into every room she entered. With her bubbly personality, quick smile, and generous spirit, she had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel seen, loved, and welcomed. Her warmth was felt by friends and strangers alike, and her laughter and caring personality will remain part of the many cherished memories we now hold close, particularly her Christmas spirit.

Juddy’s pride and joy were her two handsome grandsons: Jordan (Madison) and Carter; and, her life became more fulfilled with the recent arrival of her great-granddaughter - Elodie. Juddy glowed with joy being a great-grandmother and spending her precious moments with Elodie.

She is survived by her sisters Betty (Gaston), Dianne (Hugues), Kathy (Ivan) and brothers Peter (Carole), Rick (Nan). She was predeceased by her parents, John Thomas Britt and Georgette Heafey, sister Tess (Claude) and brother Maurice (Giselle).

Friends are invited to assemble at the the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa on Monday July 14, after 12 noon. A Memorial Service will be held in the Sacred Space at 2 p.m. followed by Inurnment and Reception.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer Society of Canada in her memory. Juddy will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and her spirit will always be with us.
