Passed away peacefully in the compassionate care of the team at the Ottawa Heart Institute, on Tuesday, April 7, 2025; age 86 years. Beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Patrick Marsden, to whom she was married for 65 years.
Born in Stoneham, Quebec, Louise had a lifelong love of nature — whether casting a line in the water, tending her gardens, or picking berries. Her generous spirit and dedication to others defined her life, from her early years in the 4H Club, to her work as an educational assistant with special needs children, to her tender care of the elderly. She poured that same love and devotion into her family and friends, always making time for everyone who needed her.
Cherished mother of Mary K. Marsden, Sean Marsden (Tina), Patrick Marsden (Erin), Kelly Marsden (Daniel Champagne) and Brendan Marsden (Joanne). Loving grandmother of Amanda, Laura, Danny, Astrid, Anders, Hunter (deceased), Alex, Eamon, and Teagan. A celebration of her life will be held this summer in Ottawa. Details to follow.
