Patti passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025 at the age of 69. She was surrounded by her beloved husband, Claude Beaudet, and her daughter, Véronique Beaudet, who was the joy of her life.
Born in Russell, Ontario, Patti was the daughter of Vina Stanley and the late Wendell Stanley. She grew up alongside her siblings David (Katrina Lamont), Cheryl (Ken Sullivan), and Neil (Jenny-Nicole Case).
Patti attended Russell Public School and North Dundas District High School. From a young age, she was active in her community, joining 4H and Junior Farmers. A deep compassion for animals shaped her life, especially her bond with her horse, 'Sugar and Spice'. She found joy volunteering at TROTT, an organization offering therapeutic horseback riding for children with disabilities. Selfless and compassionate, Patti’s life was dedicated to lifting up others.
She played on the Russell Ladies’ softball team and loved broom ball, but running was always her greatest passion, and she excelled at it. That same energy carried into her love for the outdoors and her adventurous spirit: she skied, sailed, and traveled the world with her family. More recently, she explored North America and Europe by motorcycle with her husband, embracing every opportunity to experience life to the fullest.
For more than 35 years, she dedicated herself to serving Canada; first as a civilian member of the RCMP, and later as a manager with Public Safety. She was respected for her skill, professionalism, and her ever-present smile. Patti was admired not only for her abilities but also for the compassion that defined her work and relationships.
Patti’s legacy is one of love, joy, and selflessness. She will be deeply missed by her family, numerous friends, and all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in their hearts forever.
A private celebration of life will be held in her honor later in the season at the RCMP National Memorial Cemetery at Beechwood, Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish to celebrate Patti’s life, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Arthritis Society of Canada .

Dear Claude, Véro, and the Stanley family,
I am deeply saddened by Patti’s passing. She had a lovely spirit and was a talented, caring, loyal, and humble woman. When she spoke of her family, it was with a love and pride that exuded from her being.
She generously gave of herself professionally and personally, always making time for the needs of others even when under pressure to meet deadlines herself. Cookies at Christmas time were a special treat I appreciated.
I will miss our cups of tea especially when in the village for visits with family. May your soul be blessed dear Patti.
