It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosa Ho, who passed away peacefully with her family by her side at The Ottawa Hospital, General Campus on Tuesday, January 23, 2024; she was 95 years old.

Rosa was the beloved wife of Benedict for 67 years, cherished mother of Marie (late Rick Pittuck), Anne, Peter (Giovanna Valente), Kathleen (Gary Illmann), Christine (Robert Gelfand) and Josie (Anthony Costantini), and proud Nana of Michaela, Andrew, Adrianna (Jesse Holder), Caroline, Jonathan and Lauren.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Beechwood Cemetery (280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa, ON) from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

A funeral mass followed by a reception will take place on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Divine Infant Catholic Church (6658 Bilberry Dr., Orleans, ON).

As an expression of sympathy, please consider a donation to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation in Rosa’s memory.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to all the family.
It has been a great honour to be one of the caregivers who helped Mrs. Ho in the last moments of her life. Remembering when I accompanied her while eating breakfast she gave me this look when being encouraged to eat, rather it was more like a glare with a smile.
I will always cherish the moments how she would always shout Help! Help! And when being helped to get up she would hug me and say “Thank You”.While helping her it reminded me of my grandmother back home. Mrs. Ho you will be forever remembered.

I was really saddened to learn of the news. Being one of her caretakers for the past months has been an honour, I can still remember the little smiles and the proud look on her face when we talked about the family calendar on one of my shifts. Nothing can truly make a mother's passing any easier but I wish the family of Mrs. Ho comfort and serenity during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to you, BEN and your children and grandchildren, on the profound sad loss of a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. ROSA was also a wonderful sister-in-law, with a very kind heart which my dear late wife, MARY and our children, Clare, LAURA and late Michael and I had the pleasure and good fortune of sharing. Hoping you find comfort and solace in knowing that Rosa will always be remembered.

No words will ever take away the pain all of you are going through at this moment or ease the sorrow in your hearts. But what these loving words can do is offer, I wish, some support and comfort at this difficult time. May she now rest in eternal peace, Amen.
