It is with great sadness we announce the passing of retired RCMP Staff
Sergeant Wayne "Andy" Orville Anderson on August 9th, 2025. Originally from
Pine Falls, Manitoba, born June 20th, 1938, Andy made his home in Ottawa and
was loved and will be missed by his wife (of almost 65 years) Ellen Anne
Anderson, their sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as nieces and
nephews and great friends from all over the country. As anyone who has met
Andy can tell you, he's never met a meal he didn't like, and got his greatest joy,
bringing joy to others. Whether it was belting out Sinatra (My Way) at karaoke or
going on golf trips, curling bonspiels or playing cards with his buddies, he loved
sharing a Crown Royal and a laugh with anyone. He was a true lover of life. As a
longstanding member and volunteer at the Legion, we ask that (in lieu of
flowers) donations be made to the Montgomery Legion. Services will be held on
August 20th, 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at Beechwood Cemetery
located at 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa K1L 8A6. A recording of the livestream can be viewed here.
