It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Terry Jaja at the age of 70 in Ottawa, Ontario.

Terry faced his battle with cancer with remarkable strength and resilience, surrounded by his loving family until his last breath. He was a beloved husband, a devoted father and father-in-law, a faithful brother, a cherished uncle, and the proudest grandfather.

He is survived by his adoring wife, Diane, with whom he shared a lifetime of pure love and devotion. Terry will be deeply missed by Diane, their children Frederick (Marie-Josée), Christopher (Kristen), and Jessica, and their grandchildren Jasmine, Dalia, Benjamin, and William. They were his pride and joy, and his guidance and affection enriched their worlds immeasurably.

In addition to his immediate family, Terry leaves behind in Lebanon his mother, Maria Semaan (late Farid Elabed), his brothers Anthony (Nahia) and Raymond (Vivianne), his sisters Asmahan (late Salim) and Salwa (Miled), along with many cherished uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues who will forever hold his memory dear in their hearts.

Terry brought kindness, wisdom, and laughter to the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of generosity and community-building will continue to resonate within our hearts. While we mourn his loss, we find solace in knowing that he is now at peace.

Friends are invited to pay respects at the Sacred Space of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa on Thursday April 4th from 4:00 to 6:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. Funeral Service will be held Friday April 5th at Saint Charbel Maronite Catholic Church, 245 Donald St, Ottawa, ON at 11:00am followed by interment at Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa, ON

In memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society appreciated.

I am deeply saddened to learn of terry’s passing away. He was such a wonderful gentle man and a close friend . I had the chance to chat with him and enjoy coffee with him almost every Friday evening .
Terry was the most genuine person I have ever known. If you wanted a truthful answer, you could come to him and be assured that he would give you an honest reply. He had two true loves in life: family and friends .
We will all miss him tremendously and will never be the same without him . His legacy will be remembered forever .
My deepest condolences to his wife Diane . his daughter Jessica , his sons Fred and Chris and the family and friends
