It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Ralph Sullivan. After a life well lived, he passed peacefully in his sleep on September 4, 2025, surrounded by family. He will be dearly missed by his wife Irene, and children Corene (Gennaro) and Michael (Ai). He was the proud grandfather of Coco and Kai; dear brother to Pat, Linda and Mark; and dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Ralph was an inquisitive and outgoing individual, both selfless and kind. He never missed the chance to connect - whether with friends or complete strangers - finding joy and meaning in every conversation. He loved to walk, to read, and to travel, and enjoyed staying active throughout his life.

Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Ralph’s life on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa, from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Saint Elizabeth Foundation would be appreciated.

Dear Irene and Family,

I am so sorry to hear about Ralph's passing. I have never really met Ralph, but know from your words, Irene, that he was a good man who will be sorely missed by all who knew him. I can't imagine the loss you must all be feeling and can only offer you and your family my prayers.
Take care.

I’ve lived in the same neighborhood as Ralph for many years. Ralph was an avid daily walker along with his wife, a great and knowledgeable conversationalist, and an all around great guy and good neighbour. The neighborhood will miss his old fashioned style of getting to know his neighbours, which of course is the glue of any worthwhile community.

It is with profound sorrow that we have learned of Ralph’s passing. We have been friends for almost 50 years flowing from our arrival together in Ottawa. We feel the void of his passing and we wish Irene, Corene, and the rest of the family solace in knowing our thoughts and prayers are with them.

Dear Irene and family
I am deeply sorry for your loss. Ralph was a hard worker and a truly remarkable man. I often crossed paths with him in the past, when I would see him walking home at the end of his working day. Seeing him and Irene walking regularly inspired me to take up home walking myself.
May his memory be a blessing.
